Moscow has broken the deck of diplomacy in the Ukraine crisis and therefore that path is on hold. Two do not talk if one does not want to, so it would not be logical to insist on maintaining, much less force, high-            level meetings between the rulers of the United States and Russia. That is why Secretary of State Antony Blinken canceled on Tuesday night the meeting that he had planned to hold with his counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, this Thursday in Geneva.
